Graduate Researcher Education and Training (GREAT) Series

A multisession series run each year to provide fundamental skills and knowledge that graduate researchers (e.g., PhD and master's thesis students) need to be successful in their research activities. The series has a specific focus on research communication skills, e.g.:
- Designing and presenting a research poster
- Delivering an effective research talk
- Explaining research to non-technical audiences
- Finding and critically reading research literature

This workshop is especially helpful for those that have signed up to compete in the Graduate Research and Innovation Exchange (GRIE) event this Spring or who plan to present a poster at a conference. Free Lunch provided.

Structuring Your Research Paper will focus on how you can effectively structure your research paper to tell a compelling story. This session will be led by internationally renowned Jean-luc Doumont, an engineer, author, and expert communicator that leads sessions on communicating about research at Universities around the world.
