What
Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) will recognize its successful part-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program – which was ranked No. 1 in the Northeast and No. 9 in the U.S. by the national publication BusinessWeek last year – with an "Evening of Celebration," featuring John Byrne, executive editor of BusinessWeek. In his keynote speech, Byrne will address innovation, management, and corporate culture.
WPI's MBA program focuses on management and leadership at the intersection of business and technology. The purpose is to produce business professionals who are prepared to lead organizations in today's rapidly changing technology environment, while still being sensitive to the people in those organizations.
Hosting the celebration will be WPI President and CEO Dennis D. Berkey and McRae C. Banks, head of the Department of Management (WPI's business school), professor of entrepreneurship and strategy, and director of the Collaborative for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
