More Information

Google Director Steve Vinter and Milford Regional Medical Center CEO Francis Saba will headline a four-person panel that will present three Worcester County school districts with a variety of collaboration models between businesses and school districts to support future science, technology, engineering and mathematics initiatives – commonly known as STEM – in their districts.

The business leaders will encourage senior school administrators and teachers from Leominster, Douglas and Quaboag Regional public school districts to ask questions about the initiatives businesses have been leading in an effort to spur educators to form similar projects with local businesses.

The panel is part of a pioneering yearlong professional development program known as “STEM Integration for District Leaders,” which was created by the WPI's STEM Education Center. Under the plan, educators from Leominster, Douglas and Quaboag will receive support on planning for long-term, district-wide STEM integration.

Scheduled to attend the panel are:

• Steve Vinter, site director for Google, Cambridge, Mass.

• Francis Saba, CEO of Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford, Mass.

• John Kennedy, R&D lab supervisor, Metso Automation, Shrewsbury, Mass.

• Rick Caponi, senior project engineer at Lampin Corp., Uxbridge, Mass.
