From hands-on project work and groundbreaking research opportunities to innovation around every corner, an extensive alumni network, and a campus community unlike any other, much goes into a WPI education. It’s constantly evolving, designed to rise to the constant challenges faced by society, and, as such, is an invaluable experience that’s difficult to match for a variety of reasons, many of which were recently acknowledged by rankings from U.S. News and The Princeton Review.
“College rankings today are incredibly wide-ranging, from happiest freshmen to safest campuses to greatest social mobility. Each ranking has its own criteria and methodology designed to capture the best of the best on whatever topic matters most to their readers. It’s always exciting when WPI gets external recognition for its good work through one of these rankings,” says Kristin Tichenor, senior vice president, Enrollment and Institutional Strategy. “Ours is a distinctive institution that constantly strives to offer students, faculty, and staff every opportunity for growth and accomplishment, and I’m proud WPI has been singled out for our successes.”
Among other recent accolades, WPI was ranked among the top colleges and universities offering students the best value, career services, internships, and science lab facilities, while also being named one of the best-run schools in the country. And WPI’s accomplishments don’t stop in the classroom—in a recent listing of the most environmentally conscious colleges in the United States by Sierra magazine, WPI was ranked in the top 20 within New England (and 103 across the country) and was also named a top Green College by Princeton Review.
