WPI is pleased to announce that Laura Martinez has joined WPI’s External Relations team as Director of Government & Community Relations. In this role, Laura will help strengthen and manage WPI’s relationships with local and state officials and community stakeholders. She will serve as a key liaison between WPI, elected officials, community leaders, and advocacy groups, fostering partnerships that support WPI’s mission and strategic goals.
Laura brings a wealth of experience in government and community engagement. She is the founder of Mart Consulting LLC, a Worcester-based firm specializing in collaborating with community groups and government offices to develop and implement health equity strategies. Her background in advocacy and public affairs makes her a valuable addition to WPI as the university continues to expand its community impact and engagement efforts.
A native of Worcester, Laura received her undergraduate degree in business administration from Worcester State University and her master’s in project management from Georgetown University.
