Department(s):

Enterprise Transformation

WPI faculty and staff now have access to a copy of WPI's version of Workday. The copy is called Workday (WPI5 - Training). It is a training version of WPI's real Workday so you can go in and practice daily work tasks, like submitting an expense report or purchasing a routine item. The purpose in releasing Workday (WPI5 - Training) to faculty and staff is so they can become familiar with the new platform.

Workday (WPI5 – Training) is a Test System

Please keep in mind that Workday (WPI5 - Training) is a test system, which means it is rough around the edges. Personal data may not be accurate in this version. Also Workday (WPI5 - Training) is only a practice system and whatever is done in Workday (WPI5 - Training) will not leave that system.

Workday (WPI5 - Training) is based on the information that was in Banner on May 31, 2018. So if you were hired after that date, then you will not have access to Workday (WPI5 - Training). If you are in this position, please find a colleague to partner with so you can look at Workday (WPI5 - Training).

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

In order to keep WPI's data secure in Workday, there is a security feature called Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). It is a 2-step process for logging in. First you log in on your laptop or desktop computer, then it asks for verification from a cell phone or landline.

There are 2 different paths for reaching the MFA page for Workday (WPI5 - Training). Some users are able to see the Workday icon in one path, but not the other. First try to get to the MFA screen through the portal path. If that doesn't work, then try the myapps path.
