WPI Board of Trustees member Maureen McCaffrey ’86 (civil engineering) appeared on WGBH’s The Big Dig podcast, a series of podcast episodes devoted to exploring the construction project that moved Boston’s crowded, elevated highway to an entirely underground series of tunnels. McCaffrey was a project engineer on Atlantic Avenue during the Big Dig.

McCaffrey is a director at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Investment Management Co., has been named to the Boston Real Estate Times list of Outstanding Women of Commercial Real Estate for 2024. She is also a founding member of the WPI Women’s Impact Network and co-chair of the Impact Committee.
