WPI Students Win Grand Prize at 2016 MassDiGI Game Challenge

Interactive Media & Game DevelopmentIMGD students, Kedong Ma, Yingying Chen, Shane Stenson, Sean Halloran and Jake Hawes, won the grand prize at the fifth annual Massachusetts Digital Games Institute Game Challenge.
Intern Astronaut is a virtual reality game that takes on-the-job training to new heights. Made for Gear VR, Intern Astronaut is an immersive game that enrolls the player as an intern tasked to fly a spaceship.

Additionally, IMGD students Francesca Carletto-Leon, Robert McKenna, Dillon DeSimone and Sam Wallach won the College & Indie Serious games category with their Major Qualifying Project, Chinmoku. Francesca, Robert and Dillon also received an honorable mention in the College Alpha category for their FPS Puzzle game, Revolver:Rebound. Kelly Zhang and Tom Farro, a Robotics major, won the College Alpha category with their game, Heist Night.
