Best College Reviews ranked WPI 8th among its 10 best Master's in biomedical engineering programs online for 2018. According to the review, "online master’s in biomedical engineering degree programs are becoming increasingly popular as high-paying positions in this specialized field continue to grow. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), there will be approximately 1,500 new positions in bioengineering added to the job market in the decade between 2016 and 2026. The BLS also reports that the annual median wage for the position of a biomedical engineer was $85,620 per year as of May 2016 with the highest 10% of engineers in the field earning more than $134,000 annually."
