Department(s):

George C. Gordon Library

As part of WPI’s announced move to Stay in Place (Alert Level Yellow) status beginning January 15, the Gordon Library building will be temporarily closed, with the exception of IT or ATC services scheduled by appointment.

All virtual services remain open: Library staff will continue to provide virtual research, instruction, and project support via email, chat, and video conferencing. For detailed hours of service including the upcoming Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday on January 18, please check our hours page

Curbside service:  Faculty, students, and staff who need to borrow print books from the library, or who are picking up books received through interlibrary loan, can do so through our no-contact curbside service. Beginning Friday, January 15, books can be requested for curbside pick-up through the library’s online catalog.  You will receive a confirmation email when your items are ready, and you can contact us at 508-831-5410 to schedule your pick-up, Monday – Friday, between 10am and 2pm.

Home delivery: For faculty and students unable to visit the campus in person during this time, wherever possible we will continue to offer delivery of library materials to home addresses.  Please contact us at accessservices@wpi.edu if you need this service.

For special access requests:  Faculty are encouraged to contact us to discuss your need for access to the library or archives that can’t be met by our curbside, virtual, or home delivery services.

We invite your suggestions and questions as we work to continue to support you in your important work through the coming weeks. Contact us by chat, email, or phone
