Sustainability Literacy Survey

In many respects WPI is at the forefront of sustainability actions, educations, and research. But just how knowledgeable are we about the basics of sustainability? To find out, we have begun to survey our faculty, staff, and students. The first survey was administered in May 2017 and received 253 responses: 66 from undergraduate students, 71 from graduate students, 29 from faculty, and 87 from staff. Our community has a good level of knowledge and understanding of the basics, such as environmental impacts of emissions, and recycling principles. This survey will be offered to incoming first-year students in the fall. A summary of the literacy survey can be found here.
