The Master’s in Integrated STEM Education is a new graduate program (approved by the Faculty in May 2024) launching this January. The program is designed for full-time PreK-12 educators and builds on the expertise of WPI’s faculty and staff around the teaching and learning of integrated STEM. The program is offered online (synchronously), to accommodate the needs of working professionals, while allowing collaboration between educators from different schools, districts, and states. The STEM Pedagogy courses, taught by members of WPI’s STEM Education Center, can be taken for Professional Development (i.e., PDPs for PreK-12 teachers), as stand-alone graduate courses, or as part of the MS program. WPI now offers 3 graduate programs for educators as well as the undergraduate teacher preparation program, highlighting WPI’s leadership in STEM teacher education.

The program’s first core course, Foundations of Integrated STEM Education, is currently open for enrollment. If you know a PreK-12 educator looking to complete their Master’s degree while teaching full time (or interested in taking a graduate course in STEM pedagogy), please share this exciting opportunity with them.
