SIE Progress - Campus Planning and Facilities

The foundations of Campus Planning and Facilities are maintaining and improving the physical useable spaces on campus, and we have focused many of those improvements on making the campus more physically accessible – Kaven Hall now has an elevator, Stratton Hall is scheduled for a similar renovation next year, and more buildings are being outfitted with single use bathrooms. We are seeking out a wider range of contractors to recruit, and we will be reaching out to Procurement to help create a guide for sourcing more sustainable products.

We have also created a working group with a cross section of Facilities staff and supervisors in the different areas that make up our group to find ways not only to recruit a more diverse population but also to offer more professional development and opportunities for growth to retain and show appreciation for our existing staff.
