Professors Aaron Sakulich, Laureen Elgert, and Melissa Belz Awarded New Grant

Aaron Sakulich, Assistant Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering, Laureen Elgert, Assistant Professor of Social Science & Policy Studies, and Melissa Belz, Assistant Teaching Professor in the Interdisciplinary & Global Studies Division received a grant from the Partners of the Americas Program of the US Department of State to fund their project, “Expanding Opportunities for Project-Based Learning in Latin America.”
This award is one of 18 selected from 165 proposals submitted to expand opportunities for US students to study abroad. The project will create new opportunities for IQPs, MQPs, and student/faculty research in Latin America at the existing WPI project centers in Panama City, Cuenca, Ecuador and San Jose, Costa Rica.
