If you were unable to attend one of the First-Year Welcome Experience events, stay tuned for an email from your Academic Support Advisor (they’ll let you know how to choose your course preferences and connect with your Summer Transition Assistant) and reach out to welcome@wpi.edu with any questions in the meantime.
Here’s the latest roundup of tasks to check off your to-do list as the summer months begin!
- Take the Math Placement Exam and Connect with Your Academic Advisor: If you didn’t attend the First-Year Welcome Experience, these are at the top of your list.
- Complete Your Housing Selection: The housing selection application will be open until 11:59 pm EST on June 30.
- Submit Your Student ID Photo: Say “cheese”—and submit your photo by June 30.
- Review Financial Aid and Tuition Details: Take a look by June 30 and make sure everything’s in order.
- Submit Your Health Forms: Be sure to submit your required health forms through the portal by July 1.

Calling All Transfer Students
You’re up next—the Transfer Welcome Experience will be held on June 18 and July 18, with a virtual option on July 16. There’s still time to register for the in-person events on June 18 or July 18, or the virtual option on July 16. We’ll see you soon!
Getting Involved
Getting Involved at WPI: Greek Life
Greek Life at WPI is a great opportunity to meet new people and get involved on campus, and with 13 fraternities and 7 sororities on campus, you’ll have no problem finding a chapter to call your own.
Getting Involved at WPI: Varsity Athletics
Check in with the coach(es) of your sport of choice to review requirements, deadlines, and other important information before you take to the field—or court, or pool, or track ... you get the idea.
Career Preparation from the Heebner Career Development Center (HCDC)
The HCDC will be creating Handshake accounts for you over the summer, and you’ll have access to HCDC services starting in late August. Keep an eye out for an email later this summer with more information on connecting with the office and using your Handshake account.

If you can’t wait to start college courses, check out WPI’s 2024 summer course offerings and consider registering for Session 2, which will begin on July 8. Each three-credit course is offered at $2,415—that's a 50% savings for you!
Notes from the Bursar’s Office
You’ll receive an email via Workday when Fall 2024 semester charges have posted to your account in the second week of July; charges will be due August 12. You may also opt to include friends and family as authorized users to view your account activity, receive proactive email notifications, generate statements, and/or make payments on your behalf.
