On Monday, February 10, 2025 in Odeum B&C and via Zoom, WPI hosted two Know Your Rights (LGBTQIA+) sessions (one for faculty and staff; one for students) to help educate our community, specifically LGBTQIA+ individuals, about their legal rights and protections. Led by Amy Fabiano, senior attorney at Hunton Andrews Kurth (and previously associate general counsel here at WPI), these sessions provided information on antidiscrimination laws, workplace rights, health care access, resources available to LGBTQIA+ individuals, as well as differences between Massachusetts state rights and federal rights.
