Insights on Ukraine and Its People in Their Current Crisis
Department(s):
The Business School
Thanks to Ukrainian Business School Graduate Student Mia Sorokotyaha and her Graduate Advisor, Professor Renata Konrad, for speaking with students about Ukraine.
Mia was Renata's student while she was a Fulbright Scholar in Ukraine before being advised to return to WPI with the start of the current conflict. Mia has come to WPI to purse a Masters in Business Analytics, a degree path that has yet to be offered in Ukraine. Both Mia and Renata provided many insights on Ukraine and how the Ukrainian people are both dealing with and often thriving in the current crisis. In particular, Mia's talk and her response to student questions provides proof of how young Ukrainians will be central to the future of the country. She was articulate, thoughtful, energetic, thankful to be Ukrainian and hopeful for the future prospects and a peaceful and productive Ukraine.
