At WPI, we believe in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for all employees. We work to ensure the university complies will all hiring regulations and requirements, including completing the Form I-9 for every new employee. We have created a page providing additional information for all hiring managers.
The I-9 process is a very important step in the employee onboarding process, and both the employee and WPI can face consequences if I-9 documentation is not properly filed in a timely manner. For this reason, we are working on educating the WPI community further as to what the I-9 documentation process pertains and how the WPI community can ensure compliance. Linked below is a summary as to what the process consists of, what the consequences are if not filed, and how we can improve compliance.
