GRAD Student Wellness Day Event – Make a Valentine – Friday, February 14th 12pm – 1pm in Salisbury Labs 105. Get those creative juices flowing while snacking on some sweet treat. Make valentines for friends, family members, partners, teachers! Refreshments will be served.
Graduate Research and Innovation Exchange (GRIE) and Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, Friday, February 21, 2025, from 1-5 PM in the Campus Center Odeum. The event will feature 3MT from 1-2:30 PM, followed by GRIE from 2:30-4:30 PM, treats provided 4:30-5:00pm for GRIE and 3MT presenters. Come support your peers!
GREAT Workshop - Structuring a Research Paper - February 25. 10 AM - 12 PM in the Higgins House Great Room, with refreshments provided. This GREAT session should peak the interest of many of you, and will be on ‘Structuring Your Research Paper’, which will focus on how you can effectively structure your research paper to tell a compelling story. This session will be led by internationally renowned Jean-luc Doumont, an engineer, author, and expert communicator that leads sessions on communicating about research at Universities around the world. Registration required.

In the settings of the Messages center, click the Opt-in Channels button in the top right region. 3.On the Manage Opt-ins screen, click the plus sign (+) of the channels you would like to subscribe to from the Available Opt-in Channels list. 4. Choose Graduate Students! The Graduate Students channel will move to My Opt-in Channels.

Graduate Researcher Education and Training (GREAT) Series

Grad Student Training and Readiness Sessions (STARS)
- Entrepreneurship/Innovation at WPI February 26. 12-1 PM in Unity Hall 405 with lunch provided. This session will introduce some basic business development concepts and provide an overview of WPI resources available to support business ventures of WPI community members. Registration required.
- Grad Alumni/Career Panel March 21. 12-1 PM via Zoom. The panel session will feature several WPI graduate alumni, both Masters and PhDs, and will cover their career paths and provide advice on career advancement. Registration required.
University of Rhode Island's Graduate Student Conference 2025, which will be held on March 29th, 2025, at The University of Rhode Island (URI).This conference is an excellent platform for graduate students to showcase their research, engage in stimulating discussions, and network with peers and professionals from various disciplines. Deadline for Abstract Submissions is March 1, 2025.

Financial Wellness March 18 4pm – 5pm Unity Hall 420 Join the Office of Financial Aid for a workshop to enhance your financial wellness and provide you resources that will support you with items like protecting yourself from identity theft, buying a home, and building up your credit. - WPI’s Office of Pre-Collegiate Outreach is Hiring Graduate Interns: WPI’s Office of Pre-Collegiate Outreach Programs is currently hiring summer 2025 Graduate Interns. Ideal candidates will have experience with event management and residential programming. Prior experience working with high school students is also preferred. The internship will run for 9-weeks from June 2-August 1.

Student Research Competition at IFoRE ‘25 November 6–9, 2025 | Niagara Falls, NY Student researchers across most scientific disciplines are invited to showcase their research and compete for awards at the 2025 International Forum on Research Excellence (IFoRE), powered by Sigma Xi. Students who attend IFoRE get unique opportunities to network with peers and professionals in their field, gain valuable research presentation experience, and discover future opportunities with school programs and employers. WPI Pre-College Summer Program Registrations/Applications Remain Active WPI’s Office of Pre-Collegiate Outreach Programs reminds you that registrations and applications for our summer 2025 programs are still open! Our programs are designed for students who will be entering grades 9 -12 in the fall. Interested students and/or their parents are encouraged to visit our website to get more information about our programs. All programs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrations and applications will close on April 30.
