A GGC Update
Ever wonder what we do outside of Gompei’s Goat Cheese? Well, we asked our team just that! Here’s a highlight of what some of the team members have been hard at work doing this summer:
Our CEO Zoe, who is studying Industrial Engineering and Management, is working with the EBI Operating System to support various continuous improvement efforts. Her projects cover topics such as Kanban (supply chain), cell design, 5S, standard work, and SMED. As a part of this job she also travels to different business units for problem solving events called kaizens.
Our COO Spencer, who is studying Industrial Engineering, is working with JOANN Stores Corporate Office in Hudson, Ohio as a Store Process Engineering Intern. She is working on a process engineering team to improve the efficiency and organization of JOANN stores back room spaces.
Our CSO MC, who is studying Aerospace Engineering, is working as a Summer Admissions Associate for the WPI Admissions Office and has the wonderful job of welcoming families to WPI’s campus and giving them a glimpse of what it’s like to be a WPI student.
Our CMO Natalie, who is studying MIS and Innovation with User Experience is working with UMass Medical as a marketing strategist on their “EasyCOVID-19” project. This project is looking to train an AI to simplify COVID-19 information in order to make it easily accessible to people with disabilities and/or low literacy.
Nini, one of our marketing associates majoring in Computer Science, is working for Tracelink Inc. as a Software Developer Intern working on digital recalls app on software for companies in the pharmaceutical supply chain.
Chris, one of our marketing associates majoring in Computer Science, is working for Cisco as a technical undergraduate intern. He is working with the automation team to create testbed independent assurance and compliance test cases for DNAC cluster devices.
Ethan, one of our marketing associates studying BME and Pre-Med is working as an engineering intern at IPG photonics where he is designing and manufacturing parts fixtures to increase production.
Lauryn, one of our sales associates studying Actuarial Math, is working as a Waitress in Shrewsbury. She is also working on her MQP on stock call options and she just finished her IQP in E1 term.
Brianna, one of our sales associates studying Industrial Engineering, is working as an Area Manager at Sam’s Club Fulfillment Center in Worcester responsible for floor productivity. Her project for the summer is working on reducing Last Productive Act non-value added time.

Here is a GGC hometown favorite! Chicken Riggies hail from Syracuse, NY and is one of the staple dishes of the area. Try making this recipe yourself with our goat cheese to bring the taste of Syracuse to your home!
