In February, WPI Athletics and University Advancement partnered on the annual Goat Nation Giving Challenge to support varsity athletics. This year’s fundraising campaign was the most successful yet, with the most dollars—more than $190,000—from the most donors—over 1,000 alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty, and staff.
“Once again, our alumni, family, and friends continue to support WPI Athletics at record levels of participation and gifts in our annual Goat Nation Giving Challenge, leaving us in awe and appreciation of the tremendous support,” says Dana Harmon, Director of Physical Education, Recreation & Athletics. “These gifts help support our student-athletes and coaches every day in providing a quality experience and the opportunity to excel in the classroom, in competition and in the community. Thank you, Goat Nation!”
Enhancing the donor experience this year is a digital wallet. Now, giving is even easier with ApplePay, PayPal, GooglePay, and Venmo. Some 49 percent of gifts to Goat Nation were made through these options. The WPI community will have another opportunity to try these easy ways to demonstrate their support on a Day of Giving coming up on April 19.
