Facilities Work Between Goddard Hall and Olin Hall

Dear WPI Community:

Starting this week, we will begin the final phase of work to replace a ruptured steam line between Goddard Hall and Olin Hall.  This work is expected to take a week and a half and will involve excavating the pipe in the roadway between the two buildings.

What to expect:

Temporary elimination of parking along the south side of Goddard hall

Increased contractor traffic outside the south entrance of Goddard Hall

Rerouting of pedestrian traffic from the south entrance to the east entrance of Goddard Hall 

Restricted traffic flow between the buildings

Please note:

The roadway between Goddard and Olin and the parking lot will be restricted to deliveries and service vehicles or emergency vehicles, while this work is conducted.  Pedestrian traffic will also be rerouted around the project.

We recognize this work may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience while we make these important repairs before the winter heating season.
