WPI is excited to share some great news about Class Reunion celebrations.
After carefully reviewing feedback from across the WPI community, especially from our alumni, and studying successful approaches from our peer institutions, WPI will be moving class reunion celebrations to Homecoming, beginning in fall 2025! With that, join us on campus to celebrate reunions for undergraduate classes ending in 0 and 5 from September 26 – 28, 2025.
This change from our traditional spring Reunion Weekend is designed to enhance the reunion experience and supports our vision to increase alumni engagement and engagement with the campus community, which is so important to our alumni. At Homecoming, there will be more opportunities for alumni to interact with our students and faculty, visit favorite and new spaces, and experience our vibrant campus. We will be creating a new schedule that will combine the best of both celebrations and still allow time for reminiscing with friends and classmates. These experiences are simply not possible after Commencement, when the campus is quieter and many facilities are closed. By making this shift, WPI is committed to delivering the experiences our alumni value most and encouraging even more alumni to join us on campus.
All reunion celebrants will be invited and encouraged to attend the festivities throughout Homecoming. Most events and opportunities will be open to everyone, and some specific events and opportunities will focus on our 50th Reunion Class and our Fifty-Year Associates (those who have already celebrated their 50th reunion).
We look forward to working with members of our alumni and campus communities to create and ensure a positive and memorable reunion celebration. More information will be available in the coming months. For now, please save the date - September 26 – 28, 2025.
