If you mentor undergraduate students in research, you are invited to participate in our upcoming Entering Mentoring seminar, which was developed by the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER) and offers a unique opportunity to: 

  • Develop and refine your mentoring philosophy 
  • Learn evidence-based mentoring practices  
  • Explore strategies for effective communication, setting expectations, and fostering independence 
  • Address challenges in diversity, equity, and inclusion in research mentoring 
  • Engage in case studies and peer discussions to improve your mentoring approach

  • Dates: Eight Wednesdays (Oct. 23, Nov. 6, Nov. 20, Dec. 4, Jan. 22, Feb. 5, Feb. 19, Mar. 5) 
  • Time: 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. 
  • Location: Fuller 311 
  • Commitment: 1 hour per week for 16 weeks 
  • You will earn a Mentoring Certification upon completion.
