Commencement News/Thursday Parking Information

Members of the WPI campus community;

As most of you know, we are again having two commencements this year -- a graduate ceremony on Thursday, May 10 at 5:00 p.m. and an undergraduate ceremony on Saturday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. All ceremonies occur under the tent on the Quad.

The Thursday ceremony focuses on our Ph.D. and Master’s degree recipients, and we expect up to 3,000 parents and family members to be on campus beginning in the early afternoon to join in the celebration.

Friday will feature the Joint ROTC Commissioning Program at 12:00 noon, and the Baccalaureate Program at 5:30 p.m.

The Saturday ceremony focuses on our undergraduate degree recipients, and we expect up to 8,500 parents and family members to be on campus.

To extend our hospitality and make our campus as accessible as possible on Thursday for our guests, employee parking is available in the Park Avenue Garage and the Higgins House lot until 1:30 p.m. Therefore, please consider parking along Salisbury and Institute Street, or in any of our other campus lots. Parking on Saturday is (as usual) first come, first served.
