Center for Well-Being and Morgan Center to host discussion of faculty burnout
Department(s):
Morgan Teaching & Learning Center
The Morgan Teaching and Learning Center and Center for Well-Being will be co-hosting a lunch and discussion of the recently published book, Unraveling Faculty Burnout: Pathways to Reckoning & Renewal by Rebecca Pope-Ruark. We’ll discuss the signs of burnout, the experience of burnout at WPI, and cultural approaches as well as individual coping strategies for dealing with burnout or supporting others at risk for burnout. While the focus will be on faculty and academic culture, all community members concerned about faculty burnout are welcome to participate, even if they can't read the full book.
