Adam Lammert announced as the winner of BME Teacher of the Year for 2020-2021
Department(s):
Biomedical Engineering
Congratulations to Adam Lammert for being awarded BME Teacher of the Year for 2020-2021. Adam successfully revamped BME2211 to the delight of his students. He took this as an opportunity to teach our undergraduates about the benefits of modern statistical modeling techniques (e.g., machine learning) for analyzing a wide array of biomedical data. The challenges were many including effectively defining the scope of the course, generating new course materials of the proper level for sophomores, and making it enjoyable and engaging for the students (remotely no less). Adam has also mentored a number of undergraduates in his lab this year, an important and valued aspect of teaching here at WPI.
