The report about big data in Massachusetts to which he refers is well worth the read. It points out that there has been a 46% increase in patents in big data-related categories between 2010 and 2014; more than 6000 students have graduated with degrees from 70 plus data science programs in Massachusetts since 2013 alone, and we're only getting started.
The figures are staggering, and thrilling.
