Taking the next step in your college journey is an exciting one, and we’re thrilled to be able to show you what WPI is all about. WPI’s 70+ programs of study give you the opportunity to pursue your passion in everything from robotics and engineering to game design and chemistry, all while studying under renowned faculty, collaborating with your peers, and crafting your ideal future.
There are countless things that make WPI special, but we'll start with five of our favorites to show you how you’ll succeed here, and why our campus on the hill might just be your place.
It’s something you’ll hear time and again: what makes WPI special is the people, and that includes you. Our community is focused on collaboration over competition. While we may have different majors, passions, and interests, the one thing we have in common is that we all want each other to succeed. Here, you’ll have all the resources and support you need to achieve your own distinct goals.
A WPI education is rooted in taking what you learn from renowned faculty and bringing it to life through project work—here, you won’t just learn from the best, but learn how to be the best. As a transfer student, you'll connect with dedicated advisors and faculty members who are focused on supporting and guiding you throughout your WPI experience from day one.
For starters, it’s free to apply to WPI! We offer a Global Scholarship of up to $5,000 to complete project work; also, you may be eligible to apply for academic merit scholarships. WPI also guarantees Phi Theta Kappa transfer students $10,000 per year.
We want your transition to WPI to be as smooth as possible, which is why all transfer students joining our community are offered two free summer courses; one for the summer before your first term at WPI, and one for the summer after. They both make for excellent opportunities for you to catch up or get ahead.
We know it’s one of the questions on everyone’s minds: once you’re at WPI, what’s it going to be like when you’re out? Your future’s yours to make, but whatever path you decide to follow, myriad financial aid options, hundreds of internship and co-op opportunities, and lifetime career resources ensure that you’ll have the skills, resources, and support you need to succeed. (Oh, and did we mention the average starting salary of $81,566 for the Class of 2023?)
