Student Employee of the Year
The WPI Student Employee of the Year Award recognizes WPI students who demonstrate outstanding performance as employees of the university. In addition, recipients are eligible for district, regional, and national consideration in the Student Employee of the Year program, coordinated by the National Student Employment Administration.
Award Criteria
The WPI Student Employee of the Year Award is granted to passionate, motivated students whose contributions are highly valued by their department of employment. Nominees must be WPI student employees who have worked a minimum of six months part time (or three months full time) during the selection period of June through March.

Nominations
Nominations for WPI Student Employee of the Year will be accepted from January 16 to February 8, 2018. Nominations are judged on the following characteristics:

quality of work

initiative
-
disposition
-
reliability
-
contribution to the employer
On the nomination form you will be asked to provide examples of how the nominee exceeds the expectations listed in his or her job description and how the nominee’s leadership skills, initiative, or motivation helped to improve your office functions, among other examples of how the nominee stands out from other student employees.
Selection Process

Nominations must come from a WPI employee who supervises student workers.

Nominations are accepted in January and February.

Nomination information may be shared with the public through promotional opportunities.
