Abstract:
This vignette is a commentary about my experiences teaching Latin American culture and civilization by using computer-enhanced techniques in a multimedia, multipurpose language and communication center. Latin American culture and civilization are topics traditionally taught in a conventional classroom, involving long hours of lecturing and note taking. However, in the past few years the improvements in the WWW and the development of new software material and faster computers have created the possibilities for new approaches to courses conventionally taught.
