Welcome to WPI's Center for Communication Across the Curriculum. Our mission is to improve the written, oral, and visual communication of WPI students and to promote writing as a tool for learning in all disciplines. The CCAC hosts a variety of faculty development workshops on writing and the teaching of writing, and it provides peer tutoring in writing, oral presentation, and visual design for undergraduate and graduate students. Located on the second floor of the Project Center, the CCAC is directed by Dr.Lorraine Higgins and staffed by 20 peer tutors who have received extensive training in writing and the tutoring of writing.
Need to borrow reference books on writing? The Center's library of writing references offers dictionaries, style manuals, and handbooks that students and faculty may borrow for up to two weeks at a time.
Looking for a few good tutors. Learn how to support your peers during the writing process by signing up for a course in peer tutoring.
