How to Configure Entourage 2004 SP2 to Access the Exchange Server
Entourage 2004 SP2 Setup
Microsoft Entourage 2004 is the Macintosh equivalent of Microsoft Outlook.
- Open Microsoft Entourage.
- Close the Setup Assistant window if it appears.
- In the upper left menu, click on Entourage and select Account Settings....
- Click on the black arrow to the right of New and select Exchange....

- Click the Configure account manually button on the lower left of the Account Setup Assistant window.
- There are 5 tabs in the Edit Account window.
- In the Account Settings tab:
- Account name: exchange.wpi.edu
- Name: Full Name
- E-mail address: username@wpi.edu
- Account ID: WPI Username
- Domain: ADMIN or STUDENT
- Password: ADMIN or STUDENT Domain Password
- Exchange Server: exchange.wpi.edu
- Security: check This DAV service requires secure connection (SSL)
- In the Advanced tab:
- Public folders server: exchange.wpi.edu
- Check This DAV service requires secure connection (SSL)
- LDAP server: admin.wpi.edu
- Check This server requires me to log on
- Maximum number of results to return: 5000
- Search base: dc=admin;dc=wpi;dc=edu
- In the Account Settings tab:
- Click OK to close the Edit Account window.
- Click OK to close the Entourage is now synchronizing in the background with your Exchange account: exchange.wpi.edu... window.
- Close the Accounts window and you should be able to access your Exchange mailbox in Entourage.
How to Upgrade Office 2004 to Service Pack 2 (SP2) - On-Campus
- In the Finder and click on Connect to Server... on the Go menu.
- Server address: smb://shares.wpi.edu/installpoint/
- Click the Connect button.
- Authenticate with your Windows (ADMIN or STUDENT domain) username and password.
- Navigate to the /Macintosh/Microsoft/Office 2004 folder and open Office 2004 - Service Pack 2.dmg
- A disk image will mount on the desktop and it will automatically show its contents.
- Double click Office 2004 11.2.0 Update and follow the dialog boxes.
